Wegbeschreibung
The tour starts directly at the Zollhäuschen and follows the Zandersbach stream to the Fließer Alpe (2003 m) for approx. 1 to 1.5 hours, mostly along the road, and continues over beautiful alpine terrain to the Fließer-Stieralpe (2290 m).
For the Matthäuskopf (2743 m), which is unnamed on some maps but has a beautiful summit cross, you climb up into a striking cirque to the saddle just below the summit. The last few metres to the summit are easy without skis.
The descent usually follows the ascent route.
Variant:
From the ski depot, you can ski westwards to the Upper Malfrag and, at a prominent gap in the rocks, southwards to the Lower Malfrag. After another ascent of approx. 150 metres to the Lower Malfragkopf (2654 m), a fantastic and extensive descent awaits you.
Caution: The descent variant in the track leads twice over very steep slopes (>35°). However, the steep sections can easily be bypassed.
