After the ascent with the Twinliner, the world's first double-decker cable car to the Alp Trider Sattel, a wonderful panorama opens up from the panoramic terrace with a view of the peaks of the three-country corner Switzerland - Austria - Italy. The trail starts descending to Alp Trida (catering option). Slightly uphill, the path continues through the terrain of Alp Trida, the "desert alp". The landscape is dominated by the countless boulders that caused the name of the alp after a rock fall from the Bürkelkopf. Below the Bürkelkopf and the Bürkelspitzen there are five wonderfully clear lakes, which are fed by underground water inflows. After circumnavigating the lakes, the trail leads back to Alp Trida. There the path finally leads uphill back to the Alp Trider Sattel and to the mountain station of the cable cars. Alternatively, the route can be shortened by using the Alp Trida – Alp Trider Sattel chairlift.
