Long Distance Trail 712: Stage Kölner Haus (Serfaus) - Samnaun

The tour starts at the Kölner Haus on Komperdell above Serfaus, which can be reached by cable car from Serfaus. The first 400 metres in altitude to the Lazidkopf can optionally also be conquered with the Lazidbahn. From the Scheid, the route follows the contour line through the Lader Mooos to the Arrezjoch. Here the basin of the Masner Alpe opens up, where you will also find the Hexensee lake with the Hexensee hut. Soon you reach the Hexensattel and catch sight of the Gmairersee lake. Immediately after the Gmairersee comes the last, short ascent to the Ochsenscharte, at 2787 m the highest point of the high-altitude hike. The long-distance trail 712 would continue here along the contour line towards Ober Malfrag and Alp Trida. On the tour described here, the descent begins in the direction of the Fliesser Stieralphütte, to the catered Fliesseralpe, on to the national border at the Malfragbach stream and then along the culture trail through the beautiful mixed forest to Samnaun-Compatsch.
