Dynafit Transalpine Run 11. – 12. September
Dynafit Transalpine Run: The legendary stage race across the Alps. The Dynafit Transalpine Run is considered one of the most spectacular trail running races in the world.
The route led in 7 daily stages - either alone or in a team - over the most beautiful trails in the Alps. The start was in Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the foot of the Zugspitze, followed by Nassereith, Imst, See, Ischgl, Samnaun (on 11 and 12 September) and Nauders to the finale directly at Lake Reschen in South Tyrol. At 271 kilometres and around 17,000 metres in altitude, the route was considered one of the most challenging in the history of the legendary crossing of the Alps.
A slightly shortened stage and top weather conditions ensured fast running times and beaming finishers on the fifth stage of the Dynafit Transalpine Run from Ischgl to Samnaun in Switzerland.
