The trail leads past a lake and reaches the Viderjoch, the border between Austria and Switzerland, which can also be reached by chairlift. The route continues along the Flimspitz on Austrian soil with a short descent and an exciting section over an impressive rockfall. After a short ascent, you reach the Flimjoch and cross the border again. You have the option of climbing the Flimspitz. Five picturesque lakes await you on the plain, ideal for a break. You will be back at the Alp Trida saddle in around an hour.

The Samnaun dairy has been processing milk from local farmers into exquisite cheese since 1960. In summer, the milk is delivered via a pipeline from Alp Bella and in the winter months it is delivered twice a day in milk churns. Samnaun mountain cheese, a semi-hard cheese, matures for between three months and a year and offers an unmistakable flavour experience.
